How to Prepare for a Consultation at LINQ

Your consultation at LINQ is coming up. Make the most out of your flooring consultation by considering the following.

Flooring Samples or Colour Names

To prepare for your design consultation, we encourage you to bring along items that reflect your personal style and preferences.

Consider bringing cushions from your sofa, pieces of artwork, or any favorite items that inspire you. These items will help us understand your vision and ensure that we create a space that truly resonates with you.

We look forward to collaborating with you to create a space you love!

Paint Swatches

Not sure what kind of vinyl, hardwood floors, etc. will look best? Please bring paint swatches to your appointment. That way, we can help you determine if cool, neutral, or warm-toned floors will work best. Remember, lighting can significantly affect how colors appear, so having your samples on hand allows you to see how they interact in your own environment.

Other Samples

Is your new floor the final design element that will tie your space together? If you’re remodeling an entire room (or rooms) and not sure where to start, we welcome you to bring countertop, cabinet, or fabric samples with you. You can also get wallpaper samples, pictures, or even magazine cutouts. We’ll put them all together in our design center for viewing. Voila!

Inspiration Photos

Whether you’re the type to create a mood board or not, it’s a good idea to come to your appointment with a few reference photos on hand. This way, we can get to know your personal style a little better.

Unsure of your personal style? We’d love to invite you down to the showroom to our design consultation room where we can explore options together.

House Plans or Images

House plans or images of the room you’re working on can help us recommend the best lay pattern and type of flooring.

For example, natural hardwood floors might work best in the living room, while laminate could be a more affordable selection for the lower level.
